Background

There are 100+ food stores available on the main campus of the University of Florida. Students and faculty find it difficult to select a good place to eat around their busy schedule.

Project Objective

Design a user-friendly experience that allows students to find food stores on-campus easily as per their preferences.


Research

User research was conducted by 1:1 interview to identify the key user needs for finding food stores on campus. They were translated into an empathy map to get deeper insights into their needs which were used to create personas and suitable scenarios.

The important user needs were generated from the user research were categorized using an Affinity Diagram. Solution storyboards narrated the most important features that were prioritized for the next phase.

Individual task flows to accomplish each feature were created. All the flows were then combined into one complete design solution for the application.

The ideations and user flow presented a well-thought-out solution to the problem statement. The project received the 2nd place as the best project by the professor.
